Oh Patriot

Oh patriot, oh patriot!
Indeed, their voices we
admire – anthem of those
selfless who God and country
did aspire! Gave their all.
Oh husband, oh Father
went into fire, returned
not~ from battle’s lethal
muck and mire. God
above, having all thy
supposed power, let us
remember them not just
with prayer and flower,
but by a greater humanity,
blessed rule of Christ's manifest
loving presence ever with us.
Dear Host of heavenly
bower, oh God, our Lord
rescue this earth, teach us
to forgive and treasure, such
gift of life, each soul of Your
Own Sacred Body Measure.

You know my stance regarding war, Joe Dimino..It is regressive, in its stages Raw.' It denies the nurture that would sustain.' A reachin g of consensus.' To me This is quite plain.' Our greatest hurdles Can could be overcome .' So for thwarting such ( war is begun! ) no matter the pretext.' For such is the root also, love of power greed and money' as first the lips, Begin to shoot..Before any shells or rockets are fired, ( flaming lies are used!) To acheive satanic desires.' I say away with hasty words, lean on the Wisdom of the eternal, enquire of the living Word, for many battles are there recorded in its pages Yet tbe overcomer fought with Love To remove death, as sins evil wages.' So sin is dead, to those who live.' Because of Jesus, these lines i give.)

Well said, Joe; thoughtful, intelligent stance. Has to be a better way. If a nation is attacked it has no choice but to defend itself. Trump has done everything in his power to make peace with Iran. Make peace between the Arabs and Israel. Between Putin and Ukraine. The US can only do so much to further world peace. UN is infected with self serving tyrants. NATO has no backbone. China is out to make Social Slaves of the Entire world. Putin is mental. The UK, France and Germany have become liberal fools. What else is new? Just my humble opinion...admittedly I am not a wise politician nor tenured professor of politics.

War is a curse. How many aspiring young men die on the battlefield and how many wives are turned windows and how many children become orphans. I feel that those who die for their country deserve the greatest respect. A great tribute to the soldiers of our land. Only God can save the earth from war. Let men and countries forgive each other. A beautiful prayer.

Hi Valsa; I don't believe anyone can return from active combat and be even remotely the same. Got to be a better way. Thank you my friend.

I cannot comprehend all they did for us . I think of movies I saw about the many wars. How could they even walk out into it knowing the great chance they'd die. Such a shame the world put war as their fate. God doesn't want war. Only man. This is a thoughtful prayer, Joseph 🙏

I can understand how they did, and why...rather funny now, but when I was 15 years old I took a kitchen knife from a drunk man who had just cut a woman...I was all business during the episode, but 10 minutes later, out on the street, no danger to me, I just started shaking uncontrollably. That was my introduction to manhood. You do what you have to. Driven by a sense of what is moral and right. Love of family and country. War is such a waste...and the aftermath often a lifetime of sorrow and regret. There has to be a better way. I pray God.
