Oh Glorious Day

OH GLORIOUS DAY I saw a young girl crying I asked her what was wrong She said, it's the words to a song Sung when people are dying The words make me feel sad Because of what they say They say "Oh, What a Glorious Day" And it's supposed to make me glad I said to her, pull up a chair I'll try my best to explain What is meant by that refrain And all the words you hear "What a day that will be" Is the joy of the one who died They are now walking by Jesus' side Their life on earth set them free "When my Jesus I shall see" "When I look upon His face" "The One who saved me by His grace" "What a day, glorious day, that will be" Means one day we too will pass away And people will sing that song So the words really are not wrong For us, it will be a glorious day Now dry your tears and don't feel sad Feel the Peace of God in your heart Then you'll know when you depart That you'll be truly glad And when they sing those words that say "What a day, glorious day that will be" Yes, a glorious day for you and me Oh, what a glorious day Curtis Moorman - 5 January 2018

Wow...what a beautiful poem, so I had to google the song. I had never heard it and I found a quartet singing it. You've done the song a great justice.

It became a favorite of mine after being sung at my former wife's funeral a few years ago. She lived by it.
