Off To See the Wizard
I'm a Leprechaun, all dressed up in green
Hoping to find answers whose meaning I can glean
I'm off to OZ, the fabled land of old
The wizard will have answers, and I need to find mi gold
I started my journey early that night
And then a wind came and blew with all its might
It lifted me upward, spinning me in flight
And I landed in a cornfield later on that night
I awoke next morning to the sun's gleam
It was all too real just to be a dream
I looked all around but no buildings I could see
So I walked towards a dirt road, strewn with debris
It was there I found a pair of blue suede shoes,
I tried them on, I had nothing to lose
I felt the magic in the soles
And then I clicked my heels
Suddenly I was at a castle guarded by trolls!,
And then I saw the Wizard, it felt so unreal
The wizard said "What do you need"
And I asked "Where did I hide mi pot of gold"
"Where the mountain meets the rainbow you'll find your gold indeed"
And off I went to find it, as the wizard told
I told the wizard a mighty wind had blown me far
The wizard then waved his magic wand and I ended up at a bar!
I didn't know just what to do, so I ordered up some brews
Then a lady asked me "Where'd you get those blue suede shoes"!!
I replied, "I went to see the Wizard but Elvis wasn't there
These blue suede shoes are just a souvenir."
