Of Love

How foolish humans are when puppy love consumes us! It can happen any time - most often in our childhood. Plenty of such crushes happen long before our prime! How silly as adults can some be too. Folks marry for wrong reasons, then get burned. They do it all again and stay so blue. Life’s lesson for such people is not learned. How fortunate are those who find “the one!” They navigate life’s ups and downs and feel love deepening before their course is run, then pass away while knowing love was real! A 7 so true are these words.People do marry for the wrong reason.Break ups happens and lots of hard angry feelings come out. Some people heal and some do not not. Some are lucky to find the right one to last a life time.

.... Andrea, this is so right on I don't know what to say. I've seen a lot of people get married too soon or to people where a third-party observer could predict it wasn't going to last. Indeed, the last stanza - I waited until I was 41 to get married (thank goodness), and that's the deal.

I've wondered ever since the start of the contest, why make a distinction? Stay young at heart, fall foolishly in love as if your 12 or 14 again. Enjoy it, and stop feeling foolish.... Nice thoughts in your poem, Andrea.
