Of Donkeys and Elephants, Part Iii: Looters

The blind, jaundiced eagle falls from the sky.
Falling free, it's the death of liberty.
No need for autopsy to figure why.
Is it freedom we want, or all things free?

We’ll protect you from life so hazardous.
We know how to fix it when you’re hurting.
Blame those other guys, with laser focus,
All hail the figure behind the curtain!

It will be paradise on Earth, you’ll see!
Even if it’s run by a psychopath.
Endless holiday, serf-ing safari
Even if it seems like we can’t do math.

Enslavement by vote coming to your town!
Just don’t let those other guys get you down.

Great metaphors, Tom, and great tongue-in-cheek humor! Love it. Sandra
