Ode To Daybreak
At 6:00 AM I rise to see
the earth in silent ecstasy
as morning sun shines down on me
and wraps me in its light.
My feathered friends all serenade
a sweet, sweet morning accolade,
right there beneath the willow’s shade
where I can watch their flight.
It seems the Lord is good to me,
and I am grateful that I see
the earth in silent ecstasy
as she and I unite..
