October Story

The trees begin to shed their leaves Time slipped from grasp, taken by thieves Witness decay, life is cruel Mourn endings, embrace renewal Forest rests, absorb food from stores Give back to earth, what's mine is yours All doubts retreat, mindful accrual Mourn endings, embrace renewal Strength it comes from what is inside True hearts live on, no frost can hide When Spring comes, all ground bejewel Mourn endings, embrace renewal

A lovely poem. An intricate style with October's finality creating a somber autumn ambience.

To be fair October is my favourite month (if cherry blossom fell at the same time, it would be perfect). I enjoy putting on a winter coat and watching everything change. Thank you for your comment x
