(Hope it's good enough)

October enters on a chilly wind that chases the leaves and whistles 'round eaves. Catching coat tails and hats it whips them away like a rascally scamp at mischievous play. Harvest is over and the fields are laid bare as the October wind blows over the shares. We sit by the hearth and lie snug in our bed as the chilly north wind plays tunes o'er our heads. Now we prepare for the long winter months with our pantrys now full and we've fuel enough to last through the cold and the chill of winter as we wait now for December and Christmas to enter.

On our island we strangely had no wind but it rained hard. My plants were well watered.
