Ocean Heaven
OCEAN HEAVEN
A moon large enough to float
On the distant moving swells
Cradles my rocking boat
With warm waves fetching paint-filled sea shells,
Spilling them into the sweet sunset of Seychelles.
Come, stay forever close to this idyll
That offered Gaugin emancipation:
A tall palm leans heavily to fill
And bear fruit - at all times of the season -
On its atoll blown by the winds of creation.
