Peace and war Often lived here over the years Even though initiated by the few Tears were created between many Relaxation and growth was the PS purpose Yet they in themselves had to be fought for Still, with time, peace would prevail Offences are still doled and taken Until all are free of mistakes so it will be Perfection is not what brought us here, poetry is PSing since '06 ;)

FJ, wonderful acrostic, well done. There have always been some that come and go who want to ruin the soup, but they fail, because we soup members hold each other close and protect each other from all attacks, that's what makes us special, blessings

So wisely said. Peace and war go together just like gardens and weeds, or families that argue, then make up. I love what you say about peace being something that must be fought for, sounds like an oxymoron but I believe it to be true. And your last line sums it up so well. What a wonderful thought, FJ. Sorry but my reply box is not working over on the poem you replied to. Yes, it's so sad about Connie's passing. It was around middle of September and also we have now lost Rico. do you know who Rico is? His friend Susan made a blog about his death a few days ago.

We've lost too many through the attacks of others, including you for a while. I personally see the positive as far outweighing the negative. There are some wonderful people here. A thought provoking write.

Very true James. For some the unexpected personal attacks were just too much, understandably. But the instigators eventually calm down, leave, or are able to be ignored. I regret deleting my original account. Hopefully others will simply take a break without going that far if they need a breath. Thank you my old PS friend.

I have been bitten and, honestly, my returning words bit back on one occasion. A soft-hearted daughter that used to post here was targeted and that was a line crosser for me. But I hope I have been to at least a few Juliet, thank you for YOUR encouraging words :)
