Observation From a Living Room Window: On Koko Isle

Looking out, everything but the mountains
seems affected by wind today
It drives the sea green water that divides
our little island from the other bay
Coconut palm leaves, wildly sway
color and movement, vibrant, alive

Hedges shimmer, verdant with flowers
Tropical warmth between blowing showers
And, under cloud shadows, at the foot
of the Koolaus-

one sunlit meadow

You live in such a beautiful place, no wonder it inspires beautiful observations. You might have to explain to me what Koolaus are though ... not familiar with Hawaiian!

Dear Tim, Thankyou: Been incapacitated these last couple of months. One health crisis after another. Thank goodness for excellent medical care I am getting back on my feet. My shingles have me confined to home but the meds have helped considerably with the extreme discomfort. Thanks again for your visit and good wishes. SuZ

Oh Suz, this is a fave for me. I would envision it the same, even though I have seen what you are describing, because your imagery is so vivid. This is beautiful my friend. I, of course, welcome our cooler weather. Hugs, Connie

Oh....made me want to be there, Suz. :) Lovely imagery. Forgive my ignorance, but where is this isle? It's what I imagine Hawaii would look like. Thanks for your recent visit to my blog. I'm grateful for your kind comments.
