Ye too miss me just as I do

Happy you live away from me, You too, the way I lie to me. In misty skies when moon I see, I feel, you’ll today talk to me. In fragrant blossoms when I see Your smile, ah smiles the day to me. Every evening seems to tell me: Wear gay, not grey when come to me. When I go, ye display grave mood, Your face gives it away to me. Alone shall ye fight with the world, O talk not a child’s way to me. __________________________________ Reminiscing |06.05.2023| Poet’s note: Based on an Urdu piece by Bashir Badr
