O, Sweet Jesus
O, sweet Jesus…
You saved my soul from the depths of my transgressions,
pardoned my trespasses as I feel so very undeserving,
how grateful I am for your God-given beautiful Ascension!
for I shall always spend my life praising You while serving.
Beneath the shadows you carried the abyss of my broken heart,
death and mourning became my everyday constant routine,
my essence was drizzling into darkness with my core torn apart,
but through it all, You focused my eyes on what couldn’t be seen.
O, sweet Jesus...
You know I have needed you since the day I was born,
You bring me ease when troubled into a pit of destruction,
through all the many times I’ve wept and did sadly mourn,
You held my hand and built me up with gracious reconstruction.
There were days I fell into a deep ravine of ruins from nasty addiction,
Your compassion carried me into a fresh morning of healing with sobriety,
I’ve set my sight on the true meaning of forgiving myself with conviction,
and through today I have promised you Jesus, a life of sanctified piety.
You've given me devotions with emotions and dedication with appreciation.
You've shown me mercy with courtesy and grace in Your embrace.
O, sweet Jesus…
Be still in my soul and I will carry gratitude beyond the grave. I am undeserving and will always have pure eternal contentment knowing I am Yours. Thank you for sacrificing Your life to save mine. Our Father sent you to save me from my sins and no words can express my heartfelt joy! Your blood was shed so that I may live eternally with You in heaven. I am forever in Your debt…
