It won’t stop raining dismal, forlorn murky skies above similar to a depressed painter’s palette bring torrent outbursts becoming heavier and heavier descending louder and louder drowning me in a deluge of emotions soaking the sanity from my drenched soul Sombre November rain is always different colder and sinister like a virus rapidly spreading poisoning my body with intense anxiety battering me like a hail of bullets in the line of fire Twilight is swallowed by blackness briskly stars illuminate, as the moon glows but nature continues to immerse me bathing like a forced baptism How I long for a glimpse of the sun to shelter but there is no sign of a rainbow any time soon The Silent One Originally written 17 November 2015

Endless rain and gloom do nothing to brighten a sad heart. This is a lovely expressive poem, S-1. Regards // paul

The line 'nature continues to immerse me bathing like a forced baptism' is a wonderful metaphor. A verbal equation if you will.

Love this emotional poem, when i lived in Western Australia, we prayed for rain, back here in the UK nothing but. I believe rain like wealth should be distributed fairy across the planet. Your poem signifies that, again just love your work.

I agree, its sad to see lands that do not receive rain.. surely there could be a way to transport rain there.. Thank you for the insight..

so dark and morose, Silent One. But I like that. November is one of the gloomiest of all the months! I really liked that line "bathing like a forced baptism" NO FUN to be forced!!

Coming from the pacific where it's summer everyday, the November rain is no different from June rain. But, living in the USA, it sure is different... Lol! Anyhow, gosh your poem is drenching us with emotions. So darn good :) I love it!

Love this poem here Silent One. It is amazing at what November rain can do. A deluge will occur at some point as rain becomes louder and heavier respectively. Well crafted!

Sient One, the deep well of your dark emotions is deftly portrayed in your heartfelt write. Such revealing lines like 'drowning me in a deluge of emotions soaking the sanity from my drenched soul' - convey anguish powerfully depicted with the amazing imagery of your skilled and talented pen. Loved it..Excellent and enjoyed! P.S. thanks for the video of one of my all-time fave songs - love the orchestration and musical drama of Guns N Roses!

You speak such truth here. And you speak it beautifully painful. This is why i moved to the desert so i can always see the sun.

I have always loved the rain...Nothing is more perfect that being in bed writing poetry when it's raining outside. However, I feel the depth of feeling in this piece. Sinister rain can be a misery....sunlight and warmth after that is a must.

Glad you liked it Maureen, the song is about lost love, with November rain being the metaphor, my poem is not about a loss of romantic love, but I feel the song is fitting for the poem.. Thank you..
