Nothing's Forever

And into the woods we go, Holding hands, fingers intertwined. Alone but not lonely, On our way to the journey destined. Leaves growing on the trees, Spring's here, the birds chirped. The wind blowing on our faces, Our love blooming, just like the flower's bud. Yet beautiful and quiet the scenery was, Sun up above screamed, summer returned! Tried to save the flower from heat, Love dying under the veins, it seemed. Rain wasn't pure enough to wash away the distance, Muddy pools were formed inside the heart. Betrayals and jealousy took over, None of us bothered to play our part. Leaves fell, marked the coming of Autumn And it felt we should drift away. Cold wind blew, We were left there nothing to say. The snowy season here comes, No leaves on the trees left. The frost covered the sensation, Numbed to all the pain, feelings drown into depth. And the cycle repeats. Again here comes the spring. But now we weren't together, Which proved there isn't any 'forever'!
