Nothing Normal
I can’t be normal, I can’t be nothing.
My heart doesn’t beat to the sound of the everyday drum.
I can’t be normal; the power of change is in me,
The power of change is me.
I can’t be normal, I can’t be nothing.
Great are my lips and the words they speak.
Miraculous are my hands and the art they create.
I can’t be normal, I can’t be nothing.
My tone is cocky, my thoughts are not of this world.
I think great therefore I am,
I know I’m great therefore I will be.
I can’t be normal, I can’t be nothing.
Others tell me what I am not,
Not pretty enough or not skinny enough.
I tell them what I am,
painted in the image of God, more beautiful than life itself.
I won’t be normal, I won’t be nothing.
The world is mine to change, I am change.
I have never been normal, I won’t ever be nothing.
Nothing is normal, therefore I am great.
