Not Today
the heart aches
the heart cries
the heart loves
were you aware I was loving you
were you watching as I walked away
rain fell despite the sun shine
rolling thunder drummed across the sky
racing winds danced in the trees
for a moment there washope and peace
fallen silence hushes across the earth
the heart embraced it all
the heart let it go to set it free
the heart loved you once
but no more
not today
