Listen to poem:
the summer's come and gone
good times all but forgotten
this was to be our forever home
for you for i and for our dreams
and of course for what would follow
forever
came and went
without so much
as a goodbye
years of toiling
and nothing to show for it
but our dreams vanished in the air
now by myself
it simply cannot be done
all boxes packed
i've given up
i'm broken
and can't be fixed
at least when we were two
we had each other
we had our dreams
fate has taken you away
and left me to my own devices
shattered dreams
starting anew
with all that's left
that one ounce of courage
and the memory of you
