Not Just a Game
I proudly take my position
To obliterate their existence
We’ve turned a blind eye to this sickness
Poisoned brains to excel in the art of target practice on the guilty and innocent
Allowing young minds to participate in these fatalities
While shielding them from the harsh realities of true reality
Ignorance sold in variety, gamers won’t admit defeat
Repetitive images replayed in thoughts are now practiced in the streets
Not taught to think, just pull the trigger and watch him virtually sleep
Sending a violent message that reads, “It’s okay to be.”
Parental guidance: a proposal quietly suggested in vain
Until the day that we realize these are NOT just video games
