Not a Test - of Love

I I began writing poetry, seriously, at college About worldly affairs, my scant knowledge Prevented the privilege of love. I acknowledge Ladies like Lilly, Saras, and Nerissa: Ed College (No man, mind you; short for Education College) A Fulbright scholarship led to miscarriage Of my love-affairs. Didn't commit sacrilege Pondered punctuation in life. My US college Reduced my many commas, and exclamation And somehow this helped my poetrification II A serious Love Poem, scuttled with notebook By my younger brother, on Ashrina Ram Zook I turned, sadly, in pages titled ASHES OF LOVE I recall infatuation - classic - as in a textbook But I never talked with Ash, I, a teen Mook Thus I can't preach puppy love I forsook Cos I never got beyond a furtive look Stopped spelling 'priviledge' so, like 'knowledge' For now I study at another COLLEDGE!

It was worth humiliating the pastor-evangelist in me, then. U r a wonderful audience - participant. I have 2 brothers, 2 sisters ... Or was it dad who thrashed my one notebook of poetry? My mom treated any writing as sacred ( she blessed me with Indian culture)

This is an intriguing piece of writing. Before calling you to the ministry, it appears that God has chosen a route for you that includes education, expertise, and life experience. God has a plan for each and every one of us. We all end up exactly where God intends for us to be. Enjoyed... Prayers and Blessings always Debra

You have had your fair share of studies, Anil...and a Fulbright scholarship is something to be proud of! Love needs no college, but a sincere heart which is ready to put up with joy and pain. ~ Best regards, my friend. Hope the new year is treating you well. // paul
