Nobody Died
Born the day after tomorrow.
Thirteen stars shone down with sorrow.
A future with nowhere to go.
The answer came, but always no.
A living sculpture of defeat.
Just a shadow on the street.
The rains came down and things got muddy.
On this journey to become nobody.
One by one, the stars went out.
But much too slow to remove the doubt.
The artists painting came into view.
Of a hazy portrait nobody knew.
Somewhere above where angels dwell.
His soul will rise beyond this hell.
Nobody came or even tried.
To pay respects when nobody died.
