No Title, Yet - 54

If I leave, I’ll be all alone. I’ll never have peace through the night. I will truly be on my own. For every breath, I’ll have to fight. I’ll never again be the same, Knowing that you didn’t love me. And, whenever I hear your name, I’ll know we were not meant to be. But, sitting her, I have a thought: My future is my own to make. A happy life I’ve always sought. My happy life you’ll never take. So, I choose today to leave you And, forever, escape your hold. I will live my life warm and true And come in from out of the cold.
