No Strings Attached
An overwhelming sorrow,
no escape, not even in sleep,
only undying pain,
only overwhelming endurance.
Hot tears fall easily,
but I must exist;
it is your dictate,
it is your wish,
I cannot but obey
and bear the sacrifice.
No insanity for me,
no easy escape
I scream at night
in love and pain
for you know well
the art of sex.
I love and grieve,
yet it is clear,
your vision of me:
no strings attached.
