Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

No Safety Net

why would we tamper
with the delicate balance
of what we have

why would we risk
tipping the scales of illusion
when calm is reinstated

walking the tightrope
between love
and longing

the world seeming less hostile
and somewhat right again
if only for a moment
