No Reason To Search
I care I search for answers in my head
To find the truth before I am dead
Was I first born 'fore my parents had wed
Or was I adopted like my lone sister said
My parents who raised me were thoughtful and kind
But I suppose there was reason I've been held in the blind
Some people say "I'm just out of my mind-
There's no reason to search for answers to find"
My parents now gone, they lived their whole lives through
My lone sister, well... now she is gone too
So, sometimes I sit thinking and while I'm feeling blue
I try to forget about the answers that I never knew
"Does it really matter" I asked my dear wife
"No darling" she replied- "You've lived a wonderful life"
