No Photos To Burn

No photographs to burn No pages to turn Images permanently etched in my mind Intoxicating spellbinding novel we spun intertwined Like a typical fairy tale, simply too good to be true Yet, despite it all so many feelings come circling back to you My mind a canvas, still brings to life our sketches of art Sailed together through unchartered waters although we knew we would part Waited impatiently anticipating to hear word Through hollow valleys, no signs or echoes seen or heard Unexpected was a silent goodbye Was it all a beautiful chaotic lie? Reality or fantasy? these paralyzing thoughts drive me insane Still, I don't wish to forget or rewire my brain Forever thankful for the priceless moments we had At first bitter, now occasionally sad, but for the precious time shared I will always be glad
