No Other Flower Is Nobler Than a Rose
If nobody gave you a sentimental flower
to express how he felt inside:
accept this rose as a promise,
listen to it in flowing prose...
and stare into the eyes of this admirer
who proclaimed you the one he chose.
No other flower is nobler than a rose,
such lines he decided to compose;
and his amorous verses hide surprises
to enhance it with perfect rhymes.
If wealthy men can only offer sapphires,
I offer skies ablaze with pretty sunsets
and serene nights twinkling with stars:
choose the one who appeases desires.
No other flower is nobler than a rose;
how gallant he seems while he bows,
and charmed by your graceful pose:
he will immortalize you in his poems.
