No-One Saw the Smoke
I thought someone would see the smoke
Even in the night, filled with evil
Blank faces, threats, woods filled with fear
Restricted by rope, gagged not to scream
Ashes, ashes, life had stopped as it was
Pain burned inside, surrounded by silence
The fire was big enough to see from a distance
But no-one saw the smoke and it raged on
Where people stood without a conscience
The old dirt road overgrown by years of time
Leads to a story... rings of secrets left in trees
