Seren Roberts Poet Light Verse

No Excuses Recited

There are no excuses
For the  mess in our world
The reasons for wars
Leaves my head in a whirl.

Why cant we live in peace
Why do we have to fight
There are no excuses
For not getting it right.

Our law makers
Should hide their head
The shame of their decisions
Leaving people dead 

We send our boys to fight
A cause we don't yearn
What excuse do we give
When they don't return

They die heroes what a farce
They gave their lives for an excuse so sparse.

..........  No more excuses ,too late ,they're dead..........
