What a crazy place this would be If there were no blues to see No bright blue skies No baby blue eyes No blue in any of the seas A world without any shade of blue No hint of any of it's hues From indigo to slate Wouldn't that frustrate Think of all the colors we'd lose Then blue would not be a word No blues could be felt or heard Green, yellow, or red And their hues instead That thought is totally absurd I couldn't imagine a world with no blues Or none of it's beautiful hues It's my favorite color I don't want any other I'm glad that I don't have to choose Aren't you? Without blue, the world would feel unsettled. You captured this feeling in a beautiful poem.

I agree! It is my fave color and I especially love teal but no teal if someone ripped off blue!

Excellent poem. Every color has a purpose, a meaning, and more than one emotion. I'd hate a world without blue too because no blue means no purple which is the color of passion and my favorite color.

still I wish we could dispense with the blue the signifies sadness. Though I suppose some would say it has meaning as a yin and yang type thing with happiness. I would wish no one was ever sad though.

I do love color. And blue is one of my very faves. I especially have a thing for blue flowers. Especially blue carnatians. Yes I think we would all miss the color blue if it disappeared. Great job here. Really imaginative. Good luck in the contest. A winner for sure. God Bless, JB
