Nights of Old

whisky cheeked laughter carved in oak timber rafters memories long past whisky cheeked laughter carved into rafters thrown away worries curled up at the hearth brimming gold glasses ring echoes of love The fallen we cherished who now wait above (The Haiku is part of a much longer poem Which I have included a verse here (not sure that's In keeping with any rules.)
