Nights of Old
whisky cheeked laughter
carved in oak timber rafters
memories long past
whisky cheeked laughter carved into rafters
thrown away worries curled up at the hearth
brimming gold glasses ring echoes of love
The fallen we cherished who now wait above
(The Haiku is part of a much longer poem
Which I have included a verse here (not sure that's
In keeping with any rules.)
