Nightingale, Fly Me Away
I have been seeking her since the day she left home.
Nobody seems to know where she would roam.
Nightingale, take me high above the mountain peak.
My estranged woman is the one I now seek.
Let me climb aboard and then quickly take wing.
Carrying me across the land will not be a big thing.
I will be prepared for a long flight
knowing the journey has just begun.
Carry me through both the day and night.
You have the strength to bear just one.
Take flight from the petals of this flower.
You can take me because you have the power.
She is cloistered across the sea in an ivory tower.
Take me away to that faraway land.
Once again, I will be able to take her hand.
