Night

Dark night! Dark Night!
Come now, come again!

For it's time to dance music with the dead
Dark night, dark night!
Come now, come again!

For it's time to fly on gourds like airplanes
Dark night, dark night!
Come now, come again!

For it's time to eat unforbidden meat
Dark night, dark night!
Come now, come again

For it's time to twist religious animals
Dark night, dark night!
Come now, come again!

For it's time to sing songs of our ancestors “baji ni moyi tuja bija”
Dark night, dark night!
Come now, come again!

Bring laughter and joy under scorching sun
Dark night, dark night!
Come now, come again!

Bring to life true stories of our roots
Dark night, dark night!
Come now, come again!

Dark night, dark night!
Come new, come again, come now!

Anil Deo Date: 5/12/2020 11:40:00 PM Mr. Kazadi, you got rhythm in your genes! The one bothersome thing, you need a verb "Is" in some lines. Or contract the start of the line below, to "It's." // "For it time to dance music with the dead." The repetition is what works well in most poetry. Like this line a lot, to relieve from hot sun(?).
