Nicknaming Abw
We nicknamed her ABW – my cousins and me.
Never told her what it stood for, but she never asked.
She was delighted to be included, for we were a party.
Six wild cousins, thinking up spur of the moment fun.
ABW was thrilled whenever we invited her to our shenanigans.
An only child, she had no one to poke her in the eye or pull her hair.
We gladly filled in these gaps, claiming her as an honorary cousin.
ABW stood for Albino Butterfly Woman, weird, since she was a girl.
She grew into the name, however, and became a scientist.
Studying butterflies in rainforests and exotic one-of-a-kind islands.
We must have been psychic I told my cousin Crazy Little Jimmy.
I thought ABW stood for A Babyish Whiner he replied.
