New Year's Resolution
The end of the year is really near
O, to you, my lovely, lovely dear
I promise I will not make any stir
Let not your world dwell, in fear
For you will never sit, at the rear
As I take the old wheel and steer
I will not drink vodka, or, a beer
When the olden friends are here
Even, with my ex-seductive peer
Thou, I may share them, a cheer
It doesn’t mean, I’ll give my ear
Don’t listen, to what you’ll hear
I let not panther rose shed a tear
Whatever fight we had this year
Let live, the spirit, of New Year
Fill the house, with joy, not tear
Besides, I’ve got no will to gear
Nor, will I seek for another dear
To you, and to my precious heir
I say a Happy, Happy New Year
Not a Happy, Happy New Dear!
