Never Will the World Forget
The ocean foam is stained red with blood
Footsteps crisscross through the mud.
Waves of soldiers come up the bank
Alongside a Tiger tank.
They wear the flag of red, white, and blue
And to their country, they remain true.
When the bullets fly and their comrades fall
The American soldiers fight through it all.
They fight for a policy older than they
A policy that we keep to this very day.
Closer to home, a war rages on our soil
Our policy may be close to spoil.
What does it matter about color of skin?
All that matters is deep within.
An attack on our harbor tempts us with war again
And we make a mistake so that we can win.
Devastation is seen on TV
As we celebrate our inhumanity.
Innocent people were killed in that mighty blast
But all we think of is that we responded fast.
Our soldiers fight each and every day
To keep our policy strong and our enemies at bay.
But no matter what they do
The world won’t forget the lives we slew.
