Never Lead Us Astray
Never Lead Us Astray
Just read last book from my shelf
Then into the past I had to delve
What if no poems were written by me
And there never existed any poetry.
With education we would not be involved
And world as we knew it had dissolved
Stayed up worrying through the night
While soldiers on battle fields did fight.
Everyone was killed with their persistence
And then ceased had all of their existence
They had fought themselves to death
Last soldier suffered his last dying breath.
No wonder God had been so annoyed
Enjoyed ourselves and Him did avoid
And such a shame God has to weep
All by Himself as He goes to sleep.
God, we should have done Him a favor
By accepting His Son as Lord and Savior
Hear all of the things His Son had to say
And He surely will never lead us astray
Why should we be in sad state of affairs
Our God many things with us He shares
He always has been world's best romancer
And not only that He knows every answer.
God sure sounds like something else to me.
