Nearest Your Heart

If I said,
that your eyes are
like stars

would you say:
Such a common thing?

The heavens flowing with
billions, so alike

similar in many though illustrious
ways -- 

What then, when around my eyes
wrinkles?  Where then would you
seek those bright twinkles?

If stars were your very best

I would prefer your fondest silence

easily always then to find my place
nearest your heart....
