Nature's Lessons

As I listen to the rain fall through the leaves outside, I let it wash away thoughts that I couldn't when I tried The many things out there that I can't do anything about I now distance myself from, so I don't want to shout Rain, rain, take it all away for now Even with gray skies, there can be peace somehow Rain, rain, cleanse where we can't reach There are some things only nature can teach Heidi Sands 6/30/20

I keep hoping a large rain will come and take away the pandemic, which is how I related to this one Heidi.

Heidi, Nature's lessons hard won in this poem. The rain is taken for granted until you stand in the desert praying for it to return. 'There are some things only nature can teach' - so true. -Richard

Great message, Heidi! The rain is so often a cleansing agent. Why won't we cleanse our hearts and souls, as nature bids us?! Beautifully penned, my friend. Take good care, Gershon

It's a sad world at the moment with the virus and protests and you're right we can't do anything about it. I wish the rain could just wash it all away. Tom
