A choir offers echoes of praise The chorus rises high Softened by the draped gauzey fog Cock-a-doodle-do sighs Fiest Mockingbirds join the song Sing to the rising sun She paints pastel Easter dresses Strokes change shades, work soon done The sun brings out apricot tones Mimics the color fair Places shading in voids between Each verdant tree's affair Time out on the porch cherished The minutes swiftly pass Soon deep orange peeks in places Color and sound change so fast God thank you for these quiet moments Joy bubbles from within Let Your Holy Spirit fill me A sweet peace abide again
