Natural, Unnaturally
The angles of the face,
They fall
However naturally
They fall
Slanting across our cheeks
Lips and
Chin
And it falls
Upon us to re-shape them to
Rewrite our version of
Natural,
Unnaturally with powders once of
The forests the trees but not from
Now from
Bright lights and judgement eyes
The lips they
Pout they
Smile they
Kiss they
Are painted with red wine and
Broken sunsets and
Holographic metals of the earth.
To look like a sprite placed
Amists all this dust,
Naturally here
But only never
Unnaturally there.
The lashes they are lengthened and
Darkened
Khol black surrounds the eyes
Awaken a vibrancy always there
The hair
Bleached and burnished a shade from
Reality
Ruby reds
Turquoise greens and false
Yellows, false
Happiness because
It’s not bought at
A cosmetic store the
Compliments
Are.
