This is fictional. I wrote it just for the contest.
I was left in an alley at birth thrown away like a filthy rag I never felt love or care just discarded and lost I was nobody down to the core a tarnished nameless soul 4-20-17 Contest : N Form Sponsor : Broken Wings

I agree w/Jo. This is tragic write, but it is honest. Some people are discarded like trash. Powerful poem, Alexis. Love and hugs to you.

You touched me so deeply..because any life..especially that of a child is so close to my heart.I know such situations truely happen everynow and then..and it is terribly sad sweet one...So much said in few dear friend.

Sad, lonely and agonizing is your poem my friend. The form, the narrowing towards the bottom just gives this so much depth and feeling. But to this poem I say................................. And you were found, one rain filled night, by those who cared, and those of light, who lifted you, and said your name, so now your life, was not the same, for poets come, when there is need, with words of hope, from heart now bleed. :)
