Mystery of the Moon

The mystery of the moon I was born a Cancer child Way back in forty three And so the moon, she rules my soul And means so much to me. Since those very ancient days Folk have always seen By looking up at lady moon That so much does she mean She rules forests, and the animals And the tides that rule the sea It seems she rules the spirits too She’s filled with mystery When full moon comes, some folk go mad They call it lunacy She has such power in her form Oh how she fascinates me The moon she does effect our lives In many different ways And this is why when the full moon comes I always at her gaze 25 June 2014.

Ah the romantic Lunar Lady! I always enjoy reading poems written about Luna. I have written a few myself. My mother was a Cancer as well as both my brothers. A beautiful entry if for the contest!

As was stated previously, a magical write . A full moon night thrills me and as a young child I'd sneak out to roam after midnight when the full moon cast it's glory to thrill That is when I saw my first ghost, a bright figure flying in the sky laughing at me. Went back next full moon to shout at it in defiance but it was just too scared to show!

Great Write Vera. The full moon certainly has a great influence on us ,I remember being able to ride up steep hills in Ireland on my bike when the moon was full and not at any other time, you just seemed to feel lighter
