Mystery

We heard the gate slam behind us And felt the cold shame of tears upon our faces Orphans of Eden, wandr’ing homeless, A broken promise bitter upon our lips Banished from your face to walk in the dust Holding your promise so close to us, Emmanuel! God with us. Savior! Anointed one Emmanuel! God with us! Savior! Jesus! Loneliness haunts us, a shadow, Dreams of a garden float before our eyes We’re like a snowflake on a highway Lost like a teardrop in a sea of sand. Your love, O Lord, it is amazing gift Mystery how you still love us in Him. Emmanuel! God with us. Savior! Anointed one Emmanuel! God with us! Savior! Jesus!

We were expelled from the garden of Eden and our first parents walked in shame as its gate was shut slam behind them. Yet God was so kind enough to redeem us all through His blood. Praise be to Emmanuel. I love your poem of deep faith and reverence, dear Sam.

Lovely contrasting themes of judgement and redemption Sam. I'm a believer!
