Mysterious Sunset

Mysterious Sunset Walking alone by the lake Not the usual route I take Not the usual route.... But the scenery is cute I spy with my little eye The distant shoreline rolls by The distant shoreline.... Is beautiful so divine Mysterious sunset Mys.....ter.....ious Mys.....ter.....ious Mysterious sunset The lake glows like butterscotch Dreamy smooth but clear to watch Dreamy smooth but clear..... It must be the time of year Insect noises all around Feeding my senses with sound Feeding my senses.... Then leaving me defenseless Mysterious sunset Mys.....ter.....ious Mys.....ter.....ious Mysterious sunset Grasses refract tall but sleek While trees form shadows and weep While trees form shadows..... From their reflected meadows Slowly now the day time fades Just an eerie light pervades Just an eerie light.... That marks when day becomes night Mysterious sunset Mys.....ter.....ious Mys.....ter.....ious Mysterious sunset Jane Shields (C)
