Myriad

I sit and I stare at the blank piece of paper
Or the blank computer screen
My mind wanders to thoughts of the past
Or whatever in front of me I see.
Trying to pull just one single thought
Out of the web of strings
Challenges me to concentrate
On just one of the myriad of things.
How many thoughts get lost in the transit
Numerous in the process of thought
Notebooks and pens all over the place
Recorders too many I’ve bought.
If not written down and finished just now
It is gone to the world of ink
If lost to the moment it shall return
And be better next time I think.

inspiration, it truly can never be rushed....it will return in due time if we just sit back and hush....most times for me when i get 1 thought....i wait for another to be caught....then and only then will i remove the ridge....that caps my pen so i can build a bridge....thats my process julia and i still have some material from years ago that remain yet unfinished....lol

This one really resonates with me. The thoughts are so evanescent. Hard to capture if not committed to paper or screen... I used to teach ESL, and I'd tell students that words are like buses: If you don't catch this word, you'll catch the next one --- or you'll catch the first word next time... Seems a match for your message at the end of this delightful write. Kudos, Gershon
