My words rose with the sun

I sat with my coffee in darkness, waiting for the sun to rise When the horizon at distant hills, started to glow beneath blue skies Each moment was changing, layers of colors started to form On this new mild day, where there is no incoming storm My words rose with the rising sun, I thanked God for this new year to see In this breaking moment of creation, there was no place I'd rather be Heidi Sands 1/2/24 (C)opyright
