My Winter
My winter months are not extreme
For loads of snow, I sit and dream
Of making a snowman with hat and scarf
Throwing snowballs, having a laugh.

My winter is of mist and rain
Frosty patterns on window pane
Pulled out a pencil to try to sketch
The pretty window, that's quite a test
Fading light gives life an eerie glow
Hoping tonight it might just snow
Flurries drift from the sky
Hear the oohs and ahhhs of passers by
Winter is magical whatever the weather
Drinking mulled wine , just being together
