Notes About The Poem

This was my poem with seven lines I meant to post for last week's Fun and Game Poetry challenge. So what you see in comments goes with another poem which I  needed to post six hours later to qualify for a Sept 14 or later time deadline but I was a little too early. That other poem I have posted Sept 15 .

My Week Days Before Retirement

Monday was for me a day when I felt blue.
Tuesday was not much better, I would say.
Wednesday meant work for the week was half through.
Thursday saw the weekend coming. Hip hip Hooray.
Friday was when I’d collect my pay.
Saturday more fun – if the cash was not all spent.
Sunday I would go to church and hopefully repent.

Oh what a delectable and sanguine write this is, sweet Andrea! 😍🥹🫂🩷 I can feel, hear, smell, see and touch the beauty of it all with the love of Almighty! Absolutely ethereal in every sense, every line has its own profound gorgeousness .. "hear her also singing in the thrush’s throat" that line is so very creative wowzieezzz!!! And the way you've formatted 'linger' that's so eye-alluring too.. ahhhh! And what a stellar last line.. Sending you hugsz and love, with poetic warmth, 🍁🍂🌙💫

Andrea, I love this dynamic poem giving poetic examples of our 5 senses, then wrapping these all up in the sixth sense of sensing God's Love. Well done. Moon Harp

A sumptuous poem you have composed here, Andrea. Picturesque settings, lavish imagery. Alliterations used effectively. Thank you so very much for your generous insights on Colours Of Autumn. Much appreciated. Have a happy week ahead. Howard
