My Unforgivable Sin

Day of prayers and thanks, my sister died, left alone you tried hard to save her life. I fell on my knees losing hope and cried; you let go of your anger on your wife. I stare, unable to utter a sound, hiding the pain, trying not to break down. Shuddering with horror my hands are bound. Inside I am drowning wearing a frown. He steps in my life and shows some kindness, blissful pleasure like flowers adoring. The sincere love he shows is my weakness. Surrendering my life is worth living. I know my sin is unforgivable. Your silence and glares unforgettable. 9/14/2014 Poetry Contest: Form U - U Pick The Form 3. Unforgivable Sponsored by: Broken Wings

This is a very deep and, clearly, personal poem for you, Eve. I read it as you being grateful for the end of your sister's suffering, but feeling the burden of guilt for that, too... or perhaps that's me just reading too much into it? Either way, a fine write - good luck in the contest. Best wishes, John.

After all that pain she was able to love again. All sins are forgivable but you must first forgive yourself. Good luck in the contest Eve.

I don't know what to make of the subject of this poem... The sonnet though is very well constructed..
